Education Philosophy

“Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22: 6

  • God centred

RIS exists to honour and glorify the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We aim to provide a solid, well-rounded Biblically-based educational foundation to our young pupils. Our teachers are devoted Disciples of Christ and who are suitably qualified to spiritually mentor the children. We will work alongside parents recognizing that it is their primary responsibility to bring up their children and train them in the way that they should go. All our activities should be characterized by excellence, compassion and grace.

  • We place a high priority on Individuality and Self-confidence

At RIS we recognize that each student is special and unique and our aim is to nurture and develop this uniqueness. Students are encouraged to express their individuality, to be comfortable with who they are and to respect each other for their differences.

  •  Character building

RIS believes that above education, the character of a person is critical to their success in life. We believe that Godly characters need to be instilled and encouraged in all our children. We pride ourselves in identifying and growing these characteristics in the children that attend RIS.

  • Release Potential

Our core objective is to provide each child the opportunity to develop his or her full potential. Our aim is to promote independent thought and encourage young people to use the knowledge they have acquired to develop their own thoughts, ideas and opinions.

  •  Academic excellence

At RIS we aim to deliver a high standard in private education with a dedication to ensure that every child understands and grows in knowledge. To ensure this we are committed to maintaining small class sizes based on research, which has demonstrated that smaller numbers in each class is one of the most effective ways to maximize the learning capacity of each individual student.

We want every child to love school.
